Zac Efron explains why he pulled out of Footlose

Zac Efron

Zac Efron finally opens up to EW about why he pulled out of the production of Footlose. In a nutshell:

“I didn’t want to be type-cast as the musical guy,” he says. “I’m sure Footloose would have been a huge challenge…but the actors that I love and the actors that work really hard in this industry are always shaking things up, trying new genres, acquiring new skill sets. That’s what’s always going to appeal to me: the unknown.”

So instead he’s trading in his dancing shoes for a role in a movie called The Death & Life of Charlie St. Cloud, where he plays a young man who takes a job as a caretaker in a cemetery after his brother has ben buried there.

And even though we all love Zac showing off his dancing and singing skills, TG gives him props to following his dream and pursuing the roles he wants!

What do u guys think!??
